The Company

Since 1991 the main office of Schepers GmbH & Co. KG is located in Vreden near Münster. The approximately 25 employees of the firm particularly develop and design laser machines for the gravure- and flexo industry as well for the security and embossing industry.

Most modern production halls and office buildings are situated on an area of about 5000 sqm where high-tech laser equipment and machines for optimal processing of cylinder surfaces are designed and produced.

Today more than 165 DIGILAS lasers have been sold worldwide throughout 32 different countries. They are used in different fields of production such as gravure printing (gravure cylinders), flexo printing (flexo plates and screens), embossing (embossing cylinders), textile printing (textile screens) and ceramic / 3D direct engraving in rubber. The standard sources for the Fibrelaser are from 50-600 W, on demand higher sources possible.

1991 Company foundation by H.G. Schepers in Vreden.

1995 During DRUPA 1995 the DIGILAS was introduced to the public for the first time at a trade fair.

1997 Schepers moved into a new assembly hall at Karl-Benz-Strasse in Vreden.

1998 The company decided to join the worldwide distribution and service net of OHIO Electronic Engravers, Inc. in Dayton, USA, and was therefore renamed Schepers-OHIO GmbH & Co. KG.

1999 Move to the new office at Karl-Benz-Strasse in Vreden

2000 In May 2000 MDC formed a strategic alliance with OHIO Electronic Engravers, Inc. Since then Schepers GmbH & Co. KG has been a member of the Daetwyler group which was already demonstrated to the public by a common fair stand during DRUPA 2000.

2009 Max Rid and Peter Daetwyler founded the Heliograph Holding GmbH. This holding will be home to the companies Daetwyler Graphics, HELL Gravure Systems, K.Walter, Bauer Logistik, Schepers, Daetwyler R&D Dayton and their world wide daughter companies.
